From July 7 to July 17, 2025, researchers from the Frontier Laboratory "Rhizosphere Bioengineering" of the SFedU D.I. Ivanovsky Academy of Biology and Medicine visited leading research centers in India. They presented their developments at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) and Amity University.
Dr. Vishnu D. Rajput, Head of the Frontier Laboratory "Rhizosphere Bioengineering" and researcher, PhD student of the Department of Soil Science Priyadarshani Rajput, gave presentations at three ICAR-IARI divisions (New Delhi, Pusa, India): the Department of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, the Department of Floriculture and Landscape Design, and the Department of Agronomy.

During the visit, negotiations were held with representatives of the Agri Meet Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of agriculture. The scientists also participated in the workshop "Microbial Nanobionics and Scientific Writing" at Amity University. Following the meetings, the Indian colleagues expressed interest in signing a Memorandum of understanding with the SFedU.
Dr. Rajput presented comprehensive research on the engineering of the rhizosphere microbiome, the development of new materials for soil reclamation, the use of nanocomposites and nanobiocarbon, and innovative methods of remediation of contaminated soils. Priyadarshani Rajput shared the results of studying nano- and microplastics as new soil pollutants, and also presented biotechnological approaches to their elimination using biochar and microorganisms.

Scientific presentations by SFedU researchers brought together leading experts in Soil Science and Agriculture. At ICAR-IARI, performances were led by Doctors S.S. Rathore (Agronomy), Markandey Singh (Floriculture) and Ch. Srinivasi Rao (Soil Science). A lecture on scientific writing was of particular interest. Professor Artie Goel organized a symposium at Amity University, where Professor Bhudev S. Das and Dr. Amit S. Kharqual made presentations. Key discussions were held with the participation of experts from the Agri Meet Foundation, ICAR-NIPB and other scientific organizations in India.
