On October 18, the creative teams of the Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering and the Institute of Management in Economic, Ecological and Social Systems of the Southern Federal University performed their concert programs at the Student Club.
On this day, the first speakers were students of the Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering – a total of 10 first-year students of Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering and 4 assistants. The production was called "Glory to the Water".
According to one of the concert's directors, Daria Tkachenko, a 3rd-year student at the Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering, the whole team chose the theme over a joint tea party. As a result of the creative interpretation, Korney Chukovsky's famous children's poem "Moidodyr" acquired an unexpected sound:

"The idea is that there are people who are trying to find meaning where there is none. This applies to all creative activities, from literature to art.
The selection happened very quickly. We just saw people who could be suitable for roles in the concert. It wasn't too difficult to rehearse, as we had already dealt with the work from the first year.
We are very pleased with today's performance and are proud of the amateur artists. The guys really enjoyed performing on stage. It was very nice to see their burning eyes!", - said Daria Tkachenko.

The second speakers were students of the Institute of Management in Ecologic, Economic and Social Systems, who presented the production "Toy Story". The main characters of this American cartoon are toys that live in the room of a boy named Andy Davis. All the toys are alive, although they carefully hide it from their owner. Every year, Andy gets new toys for his birthday, which makes the old ones worry that the owner might give them up forever.

"There were a lot of people who wanted to speak, but in the end, 25 first-year students were selected. We wanted the guys to feel a touch of nostalgia, as the first cartoon in this series was released in the mid-1990s. We also wanted to convey the importance of family and friends for each person and reveal the topic of growing up using the example of toys.
Today, the guys were at their best and coped as well as possible with the conditions they had. I am very proud of them. They're so good. It's only the first year, but they're already real actors," said Evgenia Lepekh, the director of the play, a 5th-year student at the SFedU Institute of Management in Ecologic, Economic and Social Systems.

More than 400 students and teachers who attended this concert received a positive charge from the sincere acting, modern dancing, acrobatic routines and subtle humor.
"I liked everything very much: interesting performances, beautiful costumes, vibrant acting and impressive choreography," Varvara Vlasova, a 3rd–year student at the Institute of Management in Ecologic, Economic and Social Systems, shared her impressions of the concert.
The gala concert of the participants of the festival "The floor is yours, freshman", at which the names of the winners of the festival in individual nominations and in the team competition will be announced, will be held at the Student Club on October 25.
