The 17th exhibition "Education in Russia - 2026/27" was held in Kyrgyzstan. The event was held in three cities: Bishkek, Kant and Kara-Balta. The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University became the main venue.
From October 29 to October 31, 2025, one of the largest educational events of the year took place in Kyrgyzstan — the 17th exhibition "Education in Russia — 2026/27". 28 leading Russian universities took part in it. The program of the event included university presentations, meetings with representatives of admissions committees and consultations on admission conditions. Round tables "Admission to Russian universities in questions and answers" were organized for schoolchildren. The events were attended by students from various regions of Kyrgyzstan, including Issyk-Kul region, Issyk-Ata and Sokuluk districts.
The Southern Federal University was represented by Anna Dmitrova, Director of the Institute of Philology, Journalism and Intercultural Communication, Margarita Yereshchenko, Head of the Center for Slavic Philology and Culture and the Russian School project, as well as Tamara Babiyan, Head of the Project Center for International Activities Support. As Margarita Yereshchenko noted, the development of cooperation with educational organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic is due not only to the official status of the Russian language in the country, but also to the growing interest of Kyrgyz applicants in high-quality Russian education.

Russian language education is another vector of international cooperation, as we have a high mission to promote education in the Russian language and train future teachers of Russian language and literature for schools and universities in Kyrgyzstan," Margarita Yereshchenko emphasized.
At the exhibition, Kyrgyz schoolchildren were most interested in the IT areas implemented at the SFedU. There was also an increase in interest in teaching professions in connection with plans to build nine new Russian-language schools in seven regions and two cities of republican designation. The exhibition was held with the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event is aimed at informing applicants about the opportunities for higher education in Russia, including bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programs.
In addition to the exhibition, representatives of the SFedU took part in the III Forum of School Leaders of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event brought together school principals, university representatives, experts and officials from the two countries. The event is organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and Southwestern State University (Kursk) with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic. The program focuses on the practical training of management teams: master classes in career guidance, project management and the organization of pedagogical councils. The Forum has become a platform for discussing cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the field of school education and digitalization.
