A professor from Italy gave a lecture at the mathematical seminar of the SFedU Russian Scientific Research Center

13 марта 2026 г.

On March 12, a lecture by Giuseppe Di Fasio, Professor at the University of Catania, Italy, was held as part of the regular scientific seminar of the Russian National Research Center of the Southern Federal University. The seminar was led by Professors A.N. Karapetyants and V.V. Kravchenko.

Giuseppe Di Fazio is a Ph.D., Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Catania, Italy. The field of scientific research is partial differential equations, especially questions of regularity, Morrie spaces and integral operators acting between them. He was a fellow of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) at Berkeley and a fellow of the "Unione Mathematica Italiana (UMI)". Author of more than a hundred scientific publications.

On March 12, Professor Di Fazio gave a lecture on increased Helder regularity for degenerate elliptic partial differential equations with data in Morrie spaces. His method is based on the Fefferman–Fong inequality and the perturbation technique widely used in the literature.

The seminar "Seminar on Analysis, Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics" was attended by more than forty mathematicians from the world's leading scientific and educational centers in Russia and other countries, including graduate students and students of the SFedU Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and young scientists.

Online scientific seminar of the Regional Scientific and Educational Mathematical Center (https://rmc.sfedu.ru /) it is held regularly every two weeks, announcements of new seminars and videos of previous seminars are available on the website http://msrn.sfedu.ru/sl . The seminar features leading researchers from around the world whose research interests are related to analysis, differential equations, and mathematical physics. The scientific seminar of the mathematical center is open, everyone can take part in it.

The language of the seminar is English.
