In an online lecture, a professor from Serbia told SFedU students about corporate social responsibility

26 марта 2026 г.

On March 24, an open online lecture on "Corporate Social Responsibility as a Driver of Sustainable Development" was held at the SFedU Faculty of Management.

The event was held within the framework of academic cooperation with the University of Economics (Belgrade, Serbia).

The speaker was a visiting professor, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Srdjan Zikic.

During his speech, the professor emphasized that corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development are inseparable concepts today. If sustainable development sets a strategic vision, then CSR acts as a tool for achieving global goals.

The lecture also discussed in detail the cases of Coca-Cola Hellenic (the Green Danube Project), Holcim Serbia (automatic air monitoring station) and Philip Morris (3R separate waste collection system: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

Following the lecture, the students determined that a socially responsible business is not a cost, but an investment in reputation, stability and long—term sustainability. In the modern economy, the success of a company is measured not only by financial indicators, but also by its contribution to the development of society and the solution of environmental problems.

We thank Professor Srdjan Zikic for his informative lecture and hope for further fruitful cooperation with colleagues from Serbia.
