Southern Federal University maintains contacts with students of the secondary school at the Russian Embassy in Mongolia, which participates in the University Class project. At the meeting on April 3, the cycle of past and future events was discussed.
The online meeting was organized by Anastasia Chernova, head of the University Classes project, coordinator of international activities at the SFedU Academy of Psychology and Pedagogy.
The meeting began with the fact that the participants recalled the events that had already been organized by the SFedU for students of the School at the Russian Embassy in Mongolia.
This was stated by Ruben Tsitsuashvili, Head of the Department of International Affairs at Southern Federal University. He recalled the dedication ceremony of Mongolia's students for student candidates in November 2024, face-to-face visits by SFedU teachers to Mongolia, and numerous thematic online meetings within the framework of the University Classroom project.
"This project is certainly unique, as the children are already immersed in the academic and social space of student life. We hope that participation in the project becomes, in a sense, a professional test for them, which allows them to understand and feel their future profession, to decide on the choice of university. And we are glad that many are already focusing on the Southern Federal University. Developing international activities today, participating in the global educational agenda, and forming an international environment at the university, we well understand the importance of such a project as the University Classroom in the context of supporting talented children, their early career guidance, increasing access to quality education, and developing competencies relevant to the development of the economy and society of the younger generation, and at the same time creating a scientific and educational space between our countries," Ruben Tsitsuashvili shared.
Andrey Ryzhov, director of the secondary school at the Russian Embassy in Mongolia, thanked SFedU for the interesting lectures and career guidance events that the university organized for the school, and also added that the focus on admission to one of the leading universities in Russia motivates children to study better.
Schoolchildren in Mongolia have already become familiar with many structural divisions of the SFedU and the training programs they offer. At the meeting on April 3, Alexey Samoilov, Head of the Department of Computing Technology at the SFedU Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security, Alexander Kozlovsky, Deputy Head of the Center for the Promotion of Educational Programs, and Natella Poghosyan, Associate Professor at the SFedU Faculty of Economics, spoke about their faculties.
This year, the SFedU Psychological Service will also hold a meeting with schoolchildren from Mongolia: experts from the SFedU Academy of Psychology and Pedagogy are planning career guidance testing and counseling.
Students of the secondary school at the Russian Embassy in Mongolia will also take part in the SfeduNet Junior design and educational intensive, where they will develop their own technology startups, forming mixed teams with students from the Specialized Educational and Scientific Center of the Southern Federal District.
So, already at this meeting on April 3, Dash-Endon Tengis from the secondary school at the Russian Embassy in Mongolia and Kirill Ponomarev, a 10th grade student at the SUNC Southern Federal District, presented their business projects.
The students from the two countries will work on their projects together with mentors from the SFedU.
