
The seminar was held from April 2 to April 4 at the Kogalym Educational Center (branch of Perm National Research Polytechnic University).
During the Seminar, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Industry, business, the expert community, and university leaders from all regions of the Russian Federation summed up the three-year work of the AES development project and discussed issues of its further implementation, how to make advanced engineering schools as effective as possible to achieve the country's technological leadership.
Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov opened a seminar-meeting on the development of advanced engineering schools in Kogalym.
In his report, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science noted that at the start of the project in 2022, each engineering school had two tasks – to offer innovations in education and achieve a new quality of interaction with companies.
After three years of work, the project has received a good response from businesses and high marks from universities.
The rules for the selection of advanced engineering schools will be updated in the near future. According to the instructions of the President of Russia, their number should increase to 100 by 2030.
The Southern Federal University was presented at the seminar meeting by the rector of SFedU Inna Shevchenko and the head of the SFedU Faculty Alexander Fedotov.
