An educational ecosystem that unites about 26,000 students and almost two thousand teachers. An international platform with branches from Gelendzhik to Havana. And, of course, a forge of personnel for the real sector of the economy. I would like to emphasize the role of the SFedU as an integrator of the scientific community of southern Russia: It sets the tone for research work, defines the scientific agenda, and creates an environment for generating new ideas," said Yuri Slyusar.
SFedU Rector Inna Shevchenko thanked the staff for their dedicated work and contribution to the development of the university:
"Today we are a world—class university in the south of the country. We develop promising domestic products to achieve technological sovereignty and national security. The university is a place for discussion and academic freedom. We are monitoring the preservation and enrichment of the Russian language, one of the richest in the world. We care about the humanitarian and technological security of the region and the country. We are creating robotic complexes for use on land, in water and in the air. We are developing an electronic component base based on new physical principles. We are training half of the officer staff of specialists in the field of communications and electronic warfare. We are proud of our graduates: statesmen, academicians, honored educators, artists, authors of the Constitution, lawyers, generals, Olympic champions and people's artists. We do everything so that they don't feel lonely in their hard work. The university is a family where knowledge and traditions are passed on. It is a great honor for me to be a graduate and rector of this university. I am responsible for its development and I am proud to be able to contribute to its future with you. Vladimir Minkin, Scientific director of SFedU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, congratulated his colleagues on the anniversary of the university, emphasizing the special role of the university in its fate:
"My professional life is inextricably linked with the Southern Federal University. I started here as a student in 1952, when there were only simple analysis devices in the classrooms. Today, our laboratories are equipped with modern equipment, and the number of doctors of science in the teaching staff has increased significantly. The university has always been a place where science has developed despite difficulties. In the 50s and 60s, we gained access to foreign literature thanks to the work of Marina Alexandrovna Gudkova. This allowed us to create advanced programs, such as the first program in Russia on quantum chemistry methods. Yuri Andreevich Zhdanov played a key role in shaping the university's development strategy, putting science at its core. Today, our university is proud of ambitious and hardworking students who will always find support here to realize their ideas.
I am grateful to SFedU for everything he has given me, and I wish him continued prosperity!"

Artem Khokhlov, a graduate of SFedU, Deputy Governor of the Rostov region, congratulated the SFedU staff on the anniversary of the university:
"I wish the entire SFedU team, first of all, good health and, of course, good mood. Without a mood, any job will be weak. And when you have a good mood and a desire to come to work every day, despite all the difficulties, any mountains are on your shoulder, and any work will be done perfectly. For me, Southern Federal University is probably the best years of my life. When I enrolled and left home, my mother said, "Son, remember, the years I spent at the university will be the best and always remembered." And it really is. I have graduated from SFedU twice: first, I received my first education at Rostov State University, and then I entered the Southern Federal University for my second higher education. In addition to my friends, I especially remember the phrase of one of our teachers at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics: "We teach you the right way so that you can quickly master new competencies." I think the teachers are doing it, and the university as a whole is doing it too."
