On March 5, the Southern Meridian Chess Club hosted a draughts tournament as part of the SFedU Student Spartakiad – 2026.
Students representing the structural divisions met at the gaming tables. The high level of preparation of the participants made each round truly exciting, the games were full of unexpected moves and subtle tactical decisions. Naturally, the victory went to the most prudent and attentive strategists.
Women:
I place - Elizabeth Gorbik (Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science);
II place - Regina Verkhozina (Faculty of Physics);
III place - Anastasova Sofia (Institute of Earth Science).
Men:
I place - Ilya Keda (Research Institute of Physics);
II place - Denis Chernov (Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science);
III place - Ilya Bochkov (Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics and Computer Science).
The Academy of Physical Culture and Sport Sports Development Department together with activists of the SFedU Student Sports Club acted as organizers.
