07.04.2025

On April 4, a round table was held on the development of student and youth tourism. The participants were students and undergraduates of the Southern Federal University.

For those who were not familiar with the possibilities of the Student Tourism program, Anna Khanina, head of the Center for Popular Science Tourism, held a presentation of the program, including about the international direction and the Student Tourism Ambassadors program.

Lolita Mustafayeva, a 2nd-year undergraduate student at ITSCI, head of the Information Space project "Scientific Horizons of Student Tourism: Journeys to Knowledge", presented a digital map of popular science tourism facilities. The Digital Map is a unique digital platform combining science, education and tourism. Popular science sites in the Southern Federal District have already been mapped, and interesting routes will appear there soon! You can get acquainted with the map on the website http://sciencemap.ru/

Within the framework of the project Scientific Horizons of Student Tourism: Journeys to Knowledge, the team has prepared interesting sub-stories about the objects of popular science tourism of SFedU, which can be found in our VK community (Tourism in SFedU)!

In conclusion, Ekaterina Velichko, ITSCI teacher, presented another vector of Student tourism development - inclusive tourism. SFedU students annually undergo training in the program "Volunteering in an inclusive environment" and become participants in All-Russian forums and meetings on affordable tourism, winners of competitions for presentations of affordable routes. In addition, thanks to the students of ITSCI, the first guided tours for students with disabilities were held, which only underlines the importance of developing this area.
