
From June 23 to July 3, 2025, the XIII International Youth Industrial Forum "Engineers of the Future" was held in the Tula Region, which was attended by students of the Southern Federal University. This year's event brought together more than 1,000 young engineers, graduate students and students from 60 regions of Russia and 75 countries around the world.
As part of the forum's educational program, participants worked on group projects and defended their developments. SFedU students won prizes:
Dmitry Khomlenko (Institute of Nanotechnologies, Electronics and Equipment Engineering, Faculty of Optima) — 2nd place
Vladislav Likhenko (Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security, Faculty of Aeromobility) — 2nd place
Mohammad Naseri Sahil (Institute for Advanced Technologies and Piezotechnics, Faculty of International Cooperation) — 2nd place
Murad Gaziev (Institute for Advanced Technologies and Piezotechnics, Faculty of High—Precision Technologies) - 3rd place
The students presented innovative solutions in the field of mechanical engineering, IT, aerospace technologies and international industrial projects, also receiving feedback from experts.
In addition to intensive work on projects, SFedU students actively participated in workshops and interactive events:
- "Battle of the Robots" is an exciting show where participants assembled and tested robots in dynamic competitions.
- "Tula gingerbread cookies: history and traditions" — a master class on baking and painting famous delicacies.
- "T-shirt art painting" is a creative session where everyone could create a unique design.
- The intellectual game "What? Where? When?" — SFedU students showed erudition and team spirit in the fight against other participants of the forum.
Excursions to industrial enterprises became one of the key points of the forum:
- The Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Tula branch) - the participants were given a guided tour, where they were told the history of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, as well as a lecture on protection against online fraud.
- JSC "Instrument Engineering Design Bureau named after academician A.G. Shipunov" - an introduction to developments in the field of precision weapons, as well as a tour of the training center, where they teach how to work with military equipment.
- JSC NPO SPLAV named after A.N. Ganichev - an excursion to one of the leading enterprises of the military-industrial complex, where students were introduced to the manufactured defense complexes and weapons.
