The exhibition combined three-dimensional experiments in metal by sculptors from the Rostov Art College named after M.B. Grekov and the engineering aesthetics of industrial design by students from the Southern Federal University.
The exhibition presents different points of view on objects, tools and technologies used in design. It shows how different approaches to artistic materials processing technologies can create something new and interesting, blurring the boundaries between art and design, and also allows you to see not only design solutions made in 3D modeling programs, but also the real embodiment of three-dimensional shapes in different materials.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of the SFedU Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Control, members of the Union of Designers: Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Iftikhar Abbasov, PhD, Associate Professor Victoria Barvenko, Associate Professor Vyacheslav Orekhov; as well as Lyudmila Gubareva-Mukha, Head of the Sculpture Department of the Rostov Art College named after M.B. Grekov, art historian of Taganrog University Lyudmila Kazakova, Chairman of the Taganrog branch of the Union of Artists of Russia Alexander Schennikov, sculptural artists Sergey and Denis Ryzhkov.
Opening the exhibition, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Graphics and Computer Design at the SFedU Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Control Victoria Barvenko noted that each exhibit of this unique exhibition is the result of creative search, goal–setting, innovation, will and teamwork under the guidance of mentors, and also noted that:

"The exhibition is a vivid illustration of how the material ultimately affects the expressiveness of three-dimensional forms, processed, albeit using special technical means, but "manually" by talented sculptors of the Rostov Art College named after M.B. Grekov, who experimenting with the material creatively show expressive images of plaster and metal.

Another part of the exhibition is the graduation projects of students of the "Technology of artistic processing of materials", whose works are located in the space of this winter garden. Support and mentoring undoubtedly played a key role in the creation of the exhibition. Thanks to the efforts of Doctor of Technical Sciences Iftikhar Abbasov, associate Professors Vyacheslav Orekhov and Victoria Barvenko, young talents were able to combine traditional design methods with modern vision and presentation of engineering solutions."

Sculptors from Rostov-on-Don who spoke at the vernissage spoke about their creative activities, and teachers, artists, and art historians noted that the sculptures presented were technically flawless, talented, and original.
At the exhibition "Industrial Design: engineering aesthetics from transport to drones", 11 final qualifying works of students of the Department of Engineering Graphics and Computer Design of the SFedU Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Control were presented. The students' design developments are diverse in subject matter: an aircraft, a small vessel, an electric car, a combine harvester, AR glasses for the deaf and dumb, a residential module, a children's playground and other relevant projects.

The part of the exhibition called "Space/Object" (Three-dimensional experiments with metal), was represented by 17 sculptural art objects made by the creative dynasty, father and son Sergey and Denis Ryzhkov.
Denis Ryzhkov, a 3rd-year student of the Sculpture department at the M.B. Grekov Rostov Art College, presented 5 creative works made of plaster and metal:

"I presented two plaster works, one of which is the relief "Cadet Frontier", dedicated to the heroes who liberated Rostov from the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War. There are also three metal works: "Musician", "Horse" and "Dwarf Tree". I did all the work myself. My father acted as a consultant in the process. I think the most important thing in creativity is inspiration."
The opening day gave the students of SFedU Academy for Engineering and Technologies an opportunity to join the world of contemporary art and communicate with the authors of the works.
"The exhibition is very interesting, as there are many talented works here. I really liked the metal sculptures. I was particularly impressed by the mastery of material processing and the flight of the author's imagination," Elizaveta Zavernina, a 3rd–year student at the SFedU Institute of Radio Engineering Systems and Control , shared her impressions.

The exhibition in the winter garden of building "D" will be open until November 7.
