The weather remains no hindrance. The SFedU Sports Festival was supposed to be fully held on October 8, but forecasters warned in advance that it would rain. Therefore, it was decided to divide the festival into two days.

On October 8, three sports were held: chess, table tennis and badminton. On October 15, more attention was paid to: 3x3 basketball, volleyball, mini-football, tug of war, pull-up on the crossbar and skipping. In nine sports, students and university staff competed together.

Invited guests were in a hurry to congratulate the students and university staff on the main sports holiday of the SFFU: Anatoly Yurevich Pogorelov, Head of the Commercial Department of FC Rostov, Olympic basketball champion (Barcelona, 1992), Honored Master of Sports, General Director of the basketball club Peresvet-SFFU, President of the Basketball Federation of the Rostov region Elena Petrovna Shvaybovich, Director of SFedU Academy of Physical Culture and Sport Stepanova Tatiana Anatolyevna and Vice-rector for Educational Work and implementation of youth programs Aslanov Yakov Andreevich.

Vocal groups also performed at the event. The opening of the festival did not end there. The student sports club of SFedU presented its mascot – the wolf of Thunder. Now he will be present at all club events.

Passions were boiling on the sports grounds, the guys' eyes were burning, because everyone wanted to win and bring Victoria to their structural unit. Last year, it turned out to be perfectly realized by students and employees of the Institute of the Earth Sciences, and the second and third places were taken by the Academy of Physical Culture and Sport and the Faculty of Physics.

This time there were no newcomers in the top three, but there was a rotation in places.

Next year, everyone will be charged with taking the first place from the Academy of Physical Culture and Sport, and the guys from the Academy will have to defend their title.
