22 июля 2025 г.

On July 19, a clean-up day was held at the SFedU student campus in Rostov-on-Don, which was attended by international students.

The clean-up not only contributed to the improvement and greening of the campus, but also helped to unite the university family, forming a sense of responsibility and love for a common home. The organizers of the clean-up were the Department for Work with Foreign Students of the Southern Federal University, the Department for Organization and Control of Housing Provision of the Southern Federal University and the United Student Council of the Southern Federal University with the support of the university administration.

One of the active and caring participants of the clean-up was Onah Christian Osita, a student from Nigeria studying at the Institute of Management in Economic, Environmental and Social Systems in the field of "International Business".

"It is important for me that our student campus is clean, cozy and beautiful, a real home for SFedU students from different countries. And in order for the territory of our dormitories to look exactly like this, all the students living here maintained this cleanliness and helped the university administration with their best efforts, for example, as they do today, taking part in clean—up days," said student Christian Onah.

During the clean-up, students mowed the lawn, destroyed weeds, pruned trees and bushes, swept the paths, removed foliage and debris from the territory. As a result of their joint work, the campus has been transformed, and its territory has become more attractive for recreation, walking and sports.

"The regularity of such events can motivate people to participate, people need to be shown that a little effort from everyone can be beneficial, and again, the more people who participate in clean—up activities, the faster and better we can put our common home in order," Christian added.

The clean-up day has become not only a symbol of concern for the environment, but also an example of true unity and friendship between students of different nationalities. It is important that such initiatives continue, because only through joint efforts can we create a comfortable and beautiful space for learning and recreation.
