"The University today pays great attention to the internationalization of education. In this context, the African direction is extremely important, since it is both traditional and new for us at the same time. This is due, in particular, to working with new partners in African countries, as well as the emergence of new practices and the development of formats that have already been successful for us, such as the Russia-Africa Summer Multidisciplinary University," Maxim Bondarev noted.
The importance and relevance of the project was emphasized by Gerges Bola Reda Banub, noting the considerable influence of the multidisciplinary university "Russia-Africa" on the partnership between African countries and the Southern Federal University.
After the opening ceremony of the program of the multidisciplinary university "Russia-Africa", Director of the Institute of Tourism, Service and Creative Industries Sergey Goryainov gave a lecture to the audience on the topic "Rostov Region as an international tourist destination", during which technologies for the formation of a tourist product were shown on the example of the Rostov region. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of the region in terms of the development of eco-tourism.
"The Rostov region is an absolutely unique region in which it is possible to organize any kind of modern tourism. Accordingly, using the example of our region, it is possible to develop tools and technologies that can be applied in other regions and countries," Sergei Goryainov stressed.
These ideas were developed in the next lecture by Anna Shmytkova, senior lecturer at the Department of Tourism, dedicated to the development of eco-tourism.
As part of the program of the Summer Multidisciplinary University "Russia-Africa", SFedU implements two tracks: cultural and historical, involving acquaintance with the sights of the ecological routes of the Rostov region and the Republic of Adygea, and educational - the organization of ecological tours and excursions in protected natural areas.
