
On January 22, the first meeting of the working groups formed on the basis of the Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in 2025 was held, dedicated to improving the accessibility of higher education for people with disabilities, their professional orientation and assistance in subsequent employment.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, in an online format and brought together more than 70 participants, including representatives of universities, the RSC network, the scientific community, business and public organizations.
The decision to create working groups was made at the last meeting of the Council in order to thoroughly study the most pressing tasks. This decision was supported and voluntary.
Seven groups have been formed in the following areas:
- employment opportunities;
- special conditions and availability;
- scientific activity and innovation;
- economic model;
- culture, sports and volunteering;
- international cooperation;
- evaluation of the effectiveness of the RMC.
The results of the work of the working groups will form the basis for the development of a Concept for the development of inclusive higher education until 2030 (2036).
Larisa Guterman, Head of the SFedU RSC, presented a report on the work of the group to assess the effectiveness of the RSC and universities in inclusive policy. A detailed needs analysis was carried out in each group, and problems requiring special attention and subsequent constructive solutions were identified.
