Around the world in 80: An exciting round-the-world voyage on Studesna-2025

27.03.2025

On March 25, the Rostov-on-Don Regional House of Folk Art hosted a concert by the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies of the SFedU "Around the World in 80".

The name of the SFedU concert is consonant with the famous adventure novel by Jules Verne "Around the World in 80 Days", but it has a different content, which is already hinted at by his one-word abbreviation. The production "Around the World in 80" tells about the journey of three elderly friends born in the USSR.

On her anniversary, Raisa Maksimovna unexpectedly receives a gift from her friends – a ticket to a concert by the popular performer Berkan Salat, which will be held in Turkmenistan. She is overjoyed with such a gift. They all go on a journey together. Arriving in Turkmenbad, the friends realize that they will not have time to get to Berkan's concert. However, an Internet search engine suggests that the singer's next concert will soon take place in London, and they will still be able to attend it. The most desperate pensioner Lyudmila Filippovna cunningly captures a balloon on which they leave the country.

A sandstorm occurs, and instead of England, the balloon takes them to distant countries, where they have the opportunity to come into contact with the distinctive culture of different peoples and fulfill their cherished desires.

In the bright finale of the concert, songs by Russian performers are played in the form of karaoke in different languages of the world. The translation of the lyrics into foreign languages was prepared by the students. Such joint performance promotes interaction, cohesion and friendship between peoples.

The SFedU International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education performed at Studvesna for the first time, which became a valuable creative experience for the student body.

The full recording of the concert can be viewed on the website of the Department of Culture and Creativity of the SFedU in the Vk group.
