From May 2-4, the Rector's Cup of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, a prestigious All-Russian swimming competition, was successfully held in Kazan at the Burevestnik Swimming Complex.
The Southern Federal University team was worthily represented by six athletes. Dmitry Shilov, a student at the SFedU Academy of Physical Culture and Sports, achieved special success by winning a bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle with an excellent result of 4:26.97.
The Rector's Cup brought together the strongest swimmers from all over the country, which makes the success of our athlete especially significant. The competition has become an important stage in preparation for the upcoming national and international starts.
